Scheme of work and assignments for teaching BTEC Level 2 Creative Digital Media Production Unit 11: Animation for Digital Media. The scheme covers teaching for sessions from September to December but can be adjusted accordingly. The scheme begins with study and experimentation in animation techniques and then progresses onto a larger form project. The larger form project is also useful for some criteria in Unit 2: Planning and Pitching a Digital Media Product. Assignment briefs were approved by EV in 2015.

European Film Form and History Resources with Lesson Plan

This pack contains a highly detailed lesson plan, gapped handout and presentation for teaching students about the major developments in cinematic form in 20th century Europe and Russia. I use the resources to teach Level 3 BTEC Film Studies but can be used for AS/A level or even Level 4 & 5 clases. It can be taught as an introduction or as an explanation to how Hollywood cinema made New Hollywood found its voice from Europe and Russia. The lesson guides students through Early film German Expressionism French Impressionism & Surrealism Soviet Montage Italian NeoRealism La Nouvelle Vague/French New Wave The students are engaged through tasks throughout and the lesson finishes on a student led film production task. This can be adjusted to suit centre resources.
